Sempax Ventures is a Danish alternative investment fund launching in 2025.
Sempax Ventures invests in total defense capabilities - services, products and infrastructures that can play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing stability, peace and security in our society.
Total defense is a comprehensive approach to national security preparing society to withstand and respond to crises, such as natural disasters, economic challenges, terrorism, cyber-attacks, or armed conflicts.
Our mission aligns with the pressing need for total defense preparedness, particularly in view of global challenges highlighted by e.g. the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. Our goal is to support our society in achieving these objectives by raising investment capital to build a diversified investment portfolio designed to drive advancements in total defense capabilities, disaster relief, and humanitarian efforts.

Our investment approach is agnostic to the technology sophistication of the targets. We seek both emerging and established businesses that can integrate with and enhance the portfolio. A key aspect of our strategy is leveraging technologies developed for defense use, such as e.g. drone systems, cybersecurity, and utility solutions (energy and water), for civilian use. Our focus on civilian usability implementation aims to accelerate the adoption of defense innovations into non-military projects with minimal environmental impact.

Our investment philosophy centers around an active, collaborative approach with founders and management teams. Our investment focus spans Northern Europe with a particular focus on the Nordic region, with initial investments (Seed and Series A) ranging from [EUR 2-5 million], while we also back more mature businesses (Series C).
Our portfolio consists of both equity investments and debt instruments. We strategically include debt instruments to support early stage businesses that demonstrate the potential to evolve into equity-investment ready ventures. By collaborating with partners in the crowdfunding industry and other sectors, we ensure rigorous credit vetting and expand our acquisition pipeline.
